Pink Denim Jacket
This Pink Denim Jacket is stitched through with time and story.
The heart of the piece is an Asian-inspired embroidery panel I originally created back in 1984, carefully saved for decades until I found the right canvas for it: a thrifted denim jacket that I bleached and hand-dyed into a soft, lived-in pink. From there, I layered in velvet, suede, and sparkly embellishments, each element adding depth and dimension like chapters in a well-loved book.
The result is a truly one-of-a-kind jacket that feels both nostalgic and strikingly current. Rich textiles frame the central embroidery, while tiny glints of sparkle catch the light as you move. You can wear it with a simple tee and jeans and still look fully styled, or throw it over a slip dress and heels for a night where you want your outer layer to start conversations.
Because the embroidery was created by hand years ago and the jacket itself is upcycled, there is no possibility of an exact repeat. The fading of the pink, the interplay between the velvet and suede, the placement of each embellishment - they belong to this jacket alone.
If you are drawn to pieces with history, texture, and a touch of glam, this pink denim coat will feel like the kind of treasure you might discover tucked in the back of a tiny boutique: surprising, romantic, and unmistakably yours.
